To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a children’s hospital like no other in t! he region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will inc! lude private patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
The Division of General Pediatrics at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is recruiting for a physician to join our academic hospital-based practice. This position is available as of July 2013.
Special consideration will be given to individuals with particular interest or expertise in Developmental Pediatrics, Child Abuse (Board Certified/Board Eligible), or Adolescent Medicine.
Precept in resident continuity practice 1-2 sessions per week.
Provide direct clinical care for the primary care and special needs practice.
Participate in general pediatrics consultative clinics (genetics, headaches, dermatology, behavior/development, enuresis).
Inpatient attending rounds on the General Pediatrics service, 6-10 weeks/year.
One evening clinic each week.
One weekend call per month.
Particip! ate in resident and student education, quality improvement and division research activities.
The qualified candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics; graduating pediatric residents/fellows are encouraged to apply.
