Inside Sales Representative

Silk & Snow is a Toronto based, digitally native retailer of responsibly made sleep essentials. You will have the opportunity to join a fast-growing start-up as a leader and work on a team with full in-house marketing, product design, and supply chain capabilities. We are seeking an individual that is extremely driven and sales-focused to help deliver a best-in-class shopping experience to our phone line customers.

The Role:

 Manage our flow of inbound customer requests and questions through our phone lines. You will be responsible for taking them from the point of discovery, to closing the sale.

 Always strive to ensure that the most customers possible are helped by balancing the most efficient call time with friendly and approachable customer service.

 Whenever appropriate through their journey, take the time to introduce shoppers to multiple categories of product to build brand loyalty and maximize sales results through cross-selling and up-selling.

 Assist customers post sale in ensuring all questions regarding deliveries are answered and important information is properly communicated to the Operations team.

 Maintain a daily log of all sales.

 Assist the Marketing and Operations team by keeping a data log of information regarding customers such as general demographics of customers, products of interest, buying patterns and more as needed.

 Liaise with our Operations team to constantly keep yourself up to date on product changes and inform them of any specific requirements for orders placed through you.

 Stay on top of promotions to ensure you can communicate effectively with our customers.

 Achieve and exceed sales goals by creating a comfortable environment and delivering quality advice regarding sleep essentials.

About You:

 Ideally have 1- 3 years of experience in Sales, Retail and/or Customer Service, special consideration will be given to those with experience in high-volume sales environments.

 Excellent interpersonal skills: you are able to make a personal and genuine connection with customers.

 Be a self-starter and ambitious. You are driven by the desire to constantly improve yourself.

 You are a team player who appreciates and understands how to work with outside departments and collaborate to get the job done.

 Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 You are very organized. You like to ensure that you are responsible for is always in the best shape possible.

 Proficiency in online work; familiarity with G-suite programs such as sheets, docs and slides. Knowledge of ecommerce platforms as well is a plus.

 You’re an independent and critical thinker you can make decisions on your own when required to do so.

 You are willing to be adaptive and reorient priorities as new information is presented or developments occur.

 Must be okay with hybrid work.

 Must be 18 years of age or older.

 Must be flexible with working evenings and weekends.
