Pay range: $80.34 p/h plus super



About the role:

The position is an important team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision-making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the work area.

The position is required to coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the Agency’s objectives.


Duties:

  • Facilitating the identification of digital system-related business needs and processes, monitoring and collating data, and identifying competing demands, organisational changes and new responsibilities.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of proposed solutions and design in conjunction with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Providing project-level analysis and producing required analysis documentation
  • Designing and delivering workshops, communication and consultation resources that support complex systems and business information gathering and sharing. Working with stakeholders to capture business needs and translating requirements into User stories in a simple format that all stakeholders can understand
  • Documenting Business Analyst artefacts including Epics, User Stories, User Interface requirements, and current state versus future state process maps.

Required experience/skills:

  • Ability to synthesise and analyse information, prioritising Application Program Interface (API) requirements, ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy
  • High-level engagement skills including planning, communication (written and oral), presentation, facilitation, evaluation and requirements writing.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, responsive and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities


Desirable experience/skills:

  • Competent with IT systems including knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
