If so, you might be the person we are looking for to be an APS 5 Logistics Officer within Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group, located in Canberra, Sydney, Osborne or Henderson.

APS 5 Logistics Officers may work within Logistics Management or Materiel Logistics, specifically within areas of Defence capability acquisition and sustainment. APS 5 Logistics Officers are accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the logistics function area based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct investigations and perform procedural and clerical support work to achieve results.

An APS 5 Logistics Officer may coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team member. They are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training within a work unit.

The APS 5 Logistics Officer may be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
