We are looking to fill an existing position within our factory that involves loading, unloading, maintaining and operation of CNC Equipment manufacturing large volumes of small glass products.
As these machines are pre-programmed, programming experience is not required.
Previous experience within the Glass or Manufacturing Industry is NOT required.
In bullet points, the role is best described as:
- Load two Machines with glass and set them to begin machining - run time is between 1hr and 2.5hrs
- Once completed, unload, reload and repeat.
- While Machines are running, the parts previously produced need to be cleaned and packaged
- Periodically, the tooling within the machines require maintenance
We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:
- Basic IT Literacy - A general ability to use Windows operating systems (Win 10, Win XP in particular)
- Good Work Ethic - The role is fairly self contained, so a good attitude to completing work targets is essential
Working hours are 7am to 4.30pm with an hour lunch break between 12 and 1pm - Monday to Friday
Every 5th Saturday (excluding the Christmas / New Years shutdown) a maintenance weekend is also required, effectively this is a Saturday morning where all of the factory staff come in to service the equipment, however this is not a timed shift, as soon as everything is complete, the shift is over.
