Nemours is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join our Emergency Medicine team in Wilmington, DE.
This is a full-time opportunity for a Pediatrician who is board-certified or eligible in General Pediatrics with 1-2 years of Urgent Care experience. The successful candidate will function primarily at the Treatment Area (Urgent Care) side of the Emergency Department and occasionally at one of the Nemours Delaware Valley External Urgent Care sites. The Treatment Area is open from 8 am to 1 am daily an d is covered by a provider team comprised of experienced Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners providing two day and two evening shifts per day. A Physician Assistant working under the supervision of the physicians provides an additional swing shift per day. Physicians work alongside members of the team to care for children age 0 to 18 with selected medical complaints or injuries consistent with those cared for in most primary care offices or Urgent Care Centers.
The Treatment Area is located within the This state-of-the-art main Emergency Department and has nine fully equipped examination rooms. Providers working in Treatment Area have access to all hospital laboratory and medical imaging facilities, as well as subspecialty consultants, and work cooperatively with the Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians in the main Emergency Department.
