To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a children's hospital l! ike no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the ! hospital will include private patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
The Department of Biomedical Research at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to work on neuroscience research with specific focus on understanding temporal and spatial regulation of gene expression in neuronal axons at both transcriptional and translational levels. Projects are specifically aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms of nerve growth and regeneration. Responsibilities include performing experiments using a range of molecular biological, biochemical, microscopic and cell biological techniques using cell lines and primary neuronal cultures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
Computer literacy.
Knowledge of research methodology.
Experience with molecular biochemical techniques and primary cell culture from rodent mo! dels are required.
