Other qualifications desired:
Interest in child health and wellness, prevention programming and population health.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable working as part of a team and ability to work independently.
Ability to proactively juggle multiple tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word and PowerPoint),! database creation and maintenance, and Internet research.

Information about National Office of Policy and Prevention (National Office): Nemours National Office of Policy and Prevention seeks to build upon areas of innovation and expertise at Nemours and to spread what works by achieving national policy and practice changes that have the potential to impact millions of children and families in positive ways. Particular areas of emphasis include promoting population health and prevention (including integration with clinical care); supporting healthy development and prevention in early care and education settings; and addressing the unique needs of children in health and quality initiatives. Nemours is seeking an intern to support our prevention and practice agenda at the national level.
Project Description
Provide support to the National Office team based out of the Newark, Delaware office. Support ongoing and new nationa! l initiatives by assisting with implementation of programs, communication efforts, materials development, research and logistical support for meetings and conferences with national stakeholders.
Intern Project Deliverables
Help support Nemours' prevention and population health internal workgroup by engaging with associates across Nemours and participating in planning discussions, helping with meeting preparation, and attending meetings or phone conferences as requested.
Conduct research, including engagement with internal stakeholders, to prepare summary reports, written materials or presentations to support National Office prevention and population health agenda.
Aid in preparation for National Office stakeholder meetings or engagement activities (e.g., conferences, panel discussions, webinars), serving as point of contact for coordination of logistics or providing administrative support as needed.
Support implementation of Let'! s Move! Child Care (LMCC) communication efforts by utilizing and updati! ng existing resources to provide technical support to child care providers, trainers and other stakeholders submitting inquiries to Nemours' LMCC help e-mail inbox.
Assist with review of LMCC website materials and resources, making recommendations for improvements to website offerings and organization to help child care providers meet the goals of the initiative.
Participate in National Office team meetings and other meetings, as requested.
Provide other support as needed.
