To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a children's hospital like no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will include private patient rooms! , a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and a new expanded Emer! gency Department.

I. Primary Function -

The Data Team Lead position provides a technical leadership and supervisory role. Additional responsibilities include developing and managing all data communications networks and related hardware. This position will assist with the implementation of voice, data and video services that will be used to support the enterprise and its satellite offices. A technical knowledge of networks to facilitate the planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading system code and network protocol suites is required.

This position will be responsible for identifying, planning, and executing data related projects as well as the effective use of the enterprise's communication systems. Included in this role is the responsibility for managing all aspects of the data and video team, including hiring, performance evaluations, daily task scheduling, and providing personnel feedback as necessary.

II. Essential Func! tions -

1. Coordinate vendors, maintenance and upgrades to minimize downtime and/or impact on end users.
2. Proactively monitor and analyze system resources to ensure optimal performance and develop plans to accommodate capacity for future growth.
3. Develop and manage project plans incorporating resource estimates (time, cost, etc), assignments, and documentation (PDD).
4. Ensure Service Desk tickets assigned to the team are resolved in a manner consistent with service level guidelines and Nemours customer service expectations.
5. Interact with customers and establish customer relationships to gather and analyze customer needs, assess available resources and determine optimal solutions.
6. Advise management on technological aspects of the position, evaluate vendor products and make recommendations on product/service selection and current system upgrades
7. Provide leadership and guidance in the allocation of department resources (staff, mat! erials, budget, etc).
8. Assign team members to various tasks and d! irect their activities.
9. Evaluate performance of data and video team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Cisco experience required
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience
  • Previous management experience required
