For detail informations about this job opportunity please read the description below. Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse - NICU to join our team in Delaware. Must be an experienced nurse. This positio! n is 7pm-7am (72 hours every two weeks, every third weekend with holiday requirement).

To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build! a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on ! a multi-phase expansion to create a childrenâs hospital like no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will include private patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is a referral center primarily for infants less than 30 days of age requiring surgery. The NICU is capable, however, of caring for all infants needing intensive care, except for those requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Principle diagnoses include abdominal wall defects, necrotizing entercolitis, neural tube defects, hydrocephalus, urologic defects and infants with congenital anomalies. The NICU functions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The NICU is a collaborative effort of the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and the Christiana Care Health System (CCHS). It is supported by Thomas Jefferson University.
The ! NICU is a state-of-the-art, fourteen single-room unit. Four rooms can flex to accommodate two infants, for a total capacity of 18 infants. Each bed is monitored and supported by neonatal nurses, neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatologists, pediatric surgeons and pediatric subspecialists. Staffing is well supported with ratios of 1:2-3.
Requirements
You must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Must be an experienced nurse; NICU expereince preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Experience in pediatric critical care experience nursing preferred.
Have a current registration or be eligible for Delaware State Board of Nursing Licensure.
