Extending the world-class care of the duPont Hospital for Children, the Nemours Children's Clinic provides expert care for even more children across the Delaware Valley through community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems. To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a children's hospital like no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will include private, family-centered, technologically advanced patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and a new expanded Emergency Department.
Primarily responsible for ensuring accurate and timely communications among members of the Transport Team, referring physicians and appropriate personnel of referring facilities, referring and accepting physicians and other employees of Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children, including Nursing Supervisors, Admissions Clerks, Bed Coordinators ,and Security personnel . Ensures customer-friendly atmosphere.
Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation. This is a full time position, day shift, every third weekend, and 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A. High School Diploma or Equivalent
B. Knowledge of medical terminology
