Service Delivery Manager [Belgium]

To support this, they have one of the largest ICT departments in the country with 600 employees, where reliability, service, and agility go hand in hand with top technology. To strengthen our management team of ICT Infrastructure, we are looking for an enterprising, persuasive, and decisive people manager with a vision of modern business management and processes. Decisive, agile, a team player with a positive attitude, and a strong interlocutor at all levels.

Together with your three fellow managers and the Director of ICT Infrastructure, you will lead and support the ICT service provision of the company from an infrastructure perspective.

You will manage around 45 employees, organized into 6 Agile platform teams, namely, Container, Integration, Cosmos, Middleware, Database, and Data.

They have the following responsibilities:

  • Fixed, first points of contact for development domains.
  • Overall planning, project management, and coordination of major infrastructure changes and projects, as well as for the infrastructure components of development initiatives.
  • Cross-functional automation focused on delivering end-to-end infrastructure services with the aim of enabling development and infrastructure teams to work more autonomously.
  • Setting up and maintaining monitoring and scheduling.

Your responsibilities:

As Service Delivery Manager for Infrastructure services, you have ultimate responsibility for the infrastructure services within your domain.

  • As a strong people manager, you will lead, coach and motivate self-organizing teams and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis.
  • You anticipate developments within your domain and translate business and ICT strategy into the operational management of your unit.
  • You work on the continuous improvement of services to your customers.
  • You work on the overall policy of the ICT department and take on this responsibility together with your department director and fellow Service Delivery Managers.
  • You translate the various SLAs into technical elements and make the transition to our catalog.
  • You manage the budget of your unit and can provide the necessary explanations in the context of performance financing.
  • You negotiate contracts and make the necessary agreements with suppliers.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a university degree or equivalent experience, supplemented with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an ICT management position in a large company or organization.
  • You have knowledge of on-prem databases, GoldenGate, OSW, API gateway, and knowledge of databases in the cloud is a major advantage.
  • You have broad knowledge and experience in ICT processes (ITIL) and infrastructure management.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum within infrastructure is a big plus, an Agile mindset is a must.
  • DEVOPS experience is an absolute advantage.
  • Experience with preparing public tenders is a plus.
  • You understand the design created by the solution architects.
  • You have experience managing infrastructure projects.
  • With your personal presence, pronounced vision, and good overall ICT knowledge and experience, you are able to develop strong leadership. Your management and communication style promote collaboration and make you an enthusiastic coach and people manager.
  • You strive for results and maximum customer satisfaction.
  • You have a natural ambition to further develop your employees and continuously optimize the processes for which you are responsible.
  • Fluent proficiency in Dutch, French, and English is important in the many internal and external contacts.
  • You show the necessary flexibility to work in shifts for continuous service provision between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m (in a rotaion system).
