Summary

SUMMARY: Provides coordination in the planning, organization, communication and evaluation of all activities within the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

1. Provides support and meets regularly with the OMFS Program Director concerning office management issues and activities and the status of projects; identifies and evaluates the methods for improving workflow and cost effectiveness and makes recommendations to the OMFS Program Director for improvement; may assist in program-level and/or institutional policy development.

2. Completes CODA surveys, standards requirements and program updates trainee data on tracking system.

3. Coordinates interview process, ranking, and post-match activities and information related to recruitment fairs.

4. Manages internal processes, New Innovations, Surgery Logger, ADEA Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS).

5. Maintains, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) tracking, surveys, and national reports.

6. Organizes, contacts participants and reserves appropriate space for resident didactic courses and assists in the planning of resident events such as graduation.

7. Assists in the development of process and protocols for departmental work-flow and serves on GME committees as departmental representation.

8. Manages supporting documentation for residency reaccreditation, regulatory issues, legal and risk management issues and reimbursement audits.

9. Enables and assists residents in obtaining clinical productivity information such as improving access to productivity and quality measures, data, and resident education.

10.Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Required Experience: Three years experience within a clinical healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience: Experience within a residency program or similar environment.
