• Highlight the main responsibilities

In phase 0

• Identify customer and production Quality constraints, suggest ways to improve after a thorough analysis of mass production Quality problems
• Draw up the Quality section of the project requirements file and the Quality Plan.

Ensure all customer requirements are included &addressed.

In phase 1

• Ensure that functional analysis and DFMEA are performed.
• Participate in drawing reviews and mock-up analysis, giving Quality’s points of view.

In phase 2

• Check that Quality aspects are included by R&D in the detailed product design.

Ensure that analyses are performed (Product and Process FMEA, DOE, etc.)

• Participate in design reviews. Ensure that prototypes are validated by Quality Function and the C/A resulting from FMEA are implemented.
• Check that the Quality Plan is complied with and trigger any necessary C/As.

In phase 3

• Validate the Control Plan.
• Coordinate the production and presentation of Initial samples, attend customer qualification tests and in-house full production day run, and draw up the customer Initial samples file.

In phase 4

• Ensure that Quality problems occurring in pre-production or at the SOP are dealt with.
• Preform product and process audits and qualify them.
• Draw up recommendations for improvement for future projects.

Customer Quality

• A contact with the customer regarding initial samples, joint product defect appraisal, process audits, complaints, etc.
• Provide the required technical assistance at the customer plants.
• Implement the appropriate action plans on 0km and Warranty issues etc.

• Verify LLCs have been used in the D/P FMEA to reduce rpn and respected
• Support activities defined for Internal and External Supplier parts on Valeo sites, to support Purchasing and SQA team, as defined in the Quality Rasic
• Prepare PVC ensuring readiness of all the deliverables required by the PVC and make sure that for each items requiring a decision from the PVC all the data needed are available
• After phase 2 design freeze, ensure 4M matrix respect with regards product or process changes and ensure customer awareness and approval of changes in accordance with the 4M matrix
• Initiate QRQCs in the case of DV or PV test failures
