Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, managing inventory, and maximizing profits. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, coffee, and customer service, and will have prior experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and manage staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action if necessary.
- Ensure excellent customer service by interacting with customers, addressing complaints, and ensuring that all staff are trained in customer service skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and controlling waste.
- Maximize profits by managing labor costs, controlling expenses, and increasing sales.
- Create and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and sales projections.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a cafe or restaurant management role.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Ability to manage inventory and control costs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and sales projections.
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
