Nemours is seeking a Director, Research & Outcomes for the Center for Children's Health Media to join our team in Delaware.

The Nemours Center for Childrenâs Health Media (creator of high-profile educational media, including KidsHealth.org, the Webâs #1 most-visited site about childrenâs health and parenting) seeks an experienced research leader to be our new Director of Research & Outcomes.
The Center is part of Nemours, a large nonprofit childrenâs health system with two highly-regarded childrenâs hospitals ranked among the nationâs best by U.S. News & World Report . This new position will be full-time and on-site at our headquarters at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, nearby to Philadelphia.
The Center â" known widely by its consumer brand, KidsHealth â" creates and distributes engaging, family-friendly and consumer-oriented products about childrenâs health across a range of platforms! . Its award-winning online, print, video and social media prov! ide families with knowledge, perspective, advice and comfort. Our clinically-oriented products aim to increase clinician effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction.
KidsHealth media products are licensed to over 80 childrenâs hospitals and to hundreds of other organizations nationwide. KidsHealth works with some of the worldâs most iconic consumer brands to craft positive messages to families about childrenâs health and well-being.
Our flagship website KidsHealth.org, in both English and Spanish, now gets about 1 million visits per day. KidsHealth.org has received numerous national juried awards, including four Webbys. Our many products also include widely distributed family-friendly health videos and patient instruction libraries that connect interactively with electronic health records.
KidsHealth is a pediatrician-led organization of physician-educators, editors and writers, Web and graphic designers, video producers, technologists and! business developers. The KidsHealth 40+ person staff is enthusiastic, ambitious and expanding â" with a culture of nonprofit entrepreneurship, purpose and camaraderie. This group is the only one of its kind in the nation.
The Director of Research & Outcomes will lead and grow KidsHealthâs efforts to evaluate our various online and video product lines. The primary goals will be to assess and help improve the usefulness, appeal and effectiveness of our current products â" and to help in the development of new ones.
The successful applicant will be both a strategic thinker and a âhands-onâ individual, adept at and enthusiastic about designing, organizing, carrying out and analyzing research.
The successful applicant for this position must have in-depth experience with evaluating the design and impact of media products and, as such, should have classical research skills honed from experience with Web design and marketing, consumer products! and/or media, including expertise in website consumer metrics, usabili! ty, tracking of awareness and attitudes, communication assessment and strategic assessment. A background that helps translate medical or health information into consumer terms would be an asset.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator in both written and oral presentations.
This full-time position will based on-site with the rest of the KidsHealth team at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, in Wilmington, DE, close to Philadelphia and a range of beautiful neighborhoods. This senior-level leader will report directly to the Centerâs Chief Executive.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- Marketing and digital consumer product research required.
- Strong analytic/statistic background.
- Must able to work autonomously.
- Demonstrated experience building and executing research plans.
