Nemours is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to join our Therapeutic & Rehab Services team in Wilmington, Delaware.

To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a ch! ildrenâs hospital like no other in the region. Upon completi! on in June 2014, the hospital will include private patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
Provides Physical Therapy evaluation, treatment and consultation to patients assigned under the prescription of a physician within guidelines designated by departmental and hospital policy and procedures. Demonstrates clinical competency in direct patient care.
Demonstrates proficiency in the care of all ages: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents and adults.
Evaluates patients for Physical Therapy treatment, including positioning, adaptive equipment, home programs, home accessibility, etc.
Provides and coordinates Physical Therapy treatment plans and treatment.
Demonstrates proficiency with clinical and department age-specific competencies as defined by the department for this position description.
Completes timely documentation for patient care as required by department polic! y #4.7, JCAHO and CARF standards.
Consults with other services, families and outside agencies to recommend equipment, home or school modifications, etc.
Completes mandatory annual training which may include, but is not limited to, safety, infection control, bioterrorism, corporate compliance, CPR and program-specific respiratory training.
DPT is currently entry-level. Must be eligible for DE license.
Per Diem position. Weekday and weekend availability.
