To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a childrenâ s hospital like no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will include private, family-centered, technologically advanced patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
The Division of General Pediatrics at Nemours/AI duPont Children's Hospital is recruiting for a Director of Primary Care Pediatrics to oversee our resident continuity and special needs primary care practice. This position is available as of January 2013. Oversee primary care curriculum and schedules for 16 pediatric residents. Oversee clinical operations of our outpatient primary care office. Provide direct clinical care for the primary care and special needs practice. Participate in general pediatrics consultative clinics. Inpatient attending rounds on the General Pediatrics service, 6-10 weeks/year. One evening clinic each week. One weekend call per month. Participate in resident and student education, quality improvement and division research activities.
The qualified candidate will be Board Certified in Pediatrics and have substantial experience in primary care and resident education.
