Summary:
We are seeking a highly capable Biochemist or Chemist to assist in conjugation and characterization of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) as part of the core conjugation group within Research. This person will play a critical role in supporting preclinical efforts to develop novel antibody-based therapeutics.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Preparation, purification, and characterization of ADCs using established and experimental conjugation methodologies
- Analytical characterization of antibodies and ADCs including HPLC, LC/MS and spectroscopy
- Collaborate on project teams, present data, and demonstrate strong communication skills
- Data and report generation including regular review of data with manager, project leads and other research associates
- Evaluation of new technologies and/or lab efficiencies
- Preparation of critical reagents and maintenance of inventories
- Routine laboratory cleaning and equipment maintenance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with 0-2 years relevant experience, or equivalent
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to perform routine tasks independently and commitment to high quality analysis and documentation
- Willingness to work with potent cytotoxic compounds, following safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- One-year hands on laboratory experience (excluding college coursework)
- Experience performing preparative protein purification including liquid chromatography
- Practical knowledge of analytical HPLC chromatography of proteins, and UV spectroscopy
- Analytical LC/MS experience
- An ideal candidate will have previous experience performing bio-conjugation techniques
- Knowledge of protein stability and formulation
- Prior experience working with electronic lab notebooks and/or LIMS systems

The hiring pay range for this position is $61,600 to $79,800 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
