He angitūtanga | About the role
This is a part time, permanent role (20 hours per week), based in our Auckland office, and works as part of our Operations Team assisting our Operations functions and the Conservation Board. This is a rewarding position and will see you take part in hui alongside many of the Departments partners including the Conservation Board, the public and iwi, whānau, and hapū.
The position will be focussed on:
- Communicating with a wide range of people at various levels throughout the organisation
- Carrying out planned work to a high standard, on time and within budget
- Managing schedules, bookings, and correspondence
- Meeting management including agendas, minute taking and room & catering bookings, and organising travel.
- Word processing, photocopying, filing documents, and keeping the Auckland Conservation Board's webpages updated
- Actioning board member payments and assisting with induction when new board members are appointed by the Minister of Conservation.

- Have excellent people skills, providing a friendly and attentive experience when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable engaging with senior leadership across the district.
- Can work independently and take initiative without ongoing manager support.
- Are proficient in minute-taking, MS Office (including Teams), and quickly learn organisational systems and processes.
- The ability to turn your hand to a multitude of tasks and easily pick up or learn new systems or processes.
- Have a natural understanding of how to work with and support a diverse range of people, including whānau, hapū, kaumātua, and iwi.
- Proven ability to hold and sustain positive relationships both internally and externally.
- A strong business support and administration background with demonstrated experience in administrative processes and services.

The salary range for this position is $54,314 to $69,401 (pro-rata) with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
