A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington , DE , 30 minutes from Philadelphia , PA , seeks additional Staff Neurologists. ( www.nemours.org ) This full s! ervice not-for-profit pediatric teaching hospital admits 9,100 and sees 33,000 in the emergency department annually; revenues are $240 M. The hospital is part of Nemours, one of the nation’s largest subspecialty healthcare organizations devoted to pediatric patient care, teaching and research. A.I. duPont is academically affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia . It serves as the primary teaching hospital for the University’s 20-20-20 Pediatric Residency with 3 Chief Residents.
This is an excellent opportunity for Pediatric Neurologists to join an established, growing, department of 4 Pediatric Neurologists. The Department is supported by S-O-A diagnostics; an Adult Neurologist and 2 Neurosurgeons are on full time staff. Other departments supporting Neurology include Genetics, Developmental Medicine and Behavioral Health. Future plans include a Pediatric Neurology Fellowship. A growing population adds tremendous opportunity for specialty prog! rams. ( I-95 Corridor between PA and Baltimore)
Qu! alifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine;
Board Certified or Board Eligible ( recent graduate) by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology ( with special competency in Child Neurology);
Strong clinical and teaching skills - well versed in cutting edge practices and technology;
Collaborative work style.
