Nemours is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Orthopaedics Team at A.I. duPont Hospital for Children.

Assist with the overall care of the children requiring orthopaedic care at the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children.
Assist the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the performance of direct patient care services in the outpatient clinic and cast room.
Perform ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient progress and revision of interdisciplinary plan of care.
Perform history and physical examinations of orthopaedic patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Enter patient orders into the clinical computer system as directed by the orthopaedic surgeon.
Perform procedures (suturing/suture removal) as directed by the orthopaedic surgeon.
Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of these children.
Requirements:
Graduation from physician assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education (AHEA) and Accreditation of the American Medical Association (AMA).
Licensure as a physician assistant by the state of Delaware.
The hours of this position are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Hours can be changed based on business needs. This position will potentially cover other sites as part of a rotation.
