How You’ll Make an Impact
The role is responsible for performing complex controlling and reporting activities to ensure the accuracy of financial budgets, forecasts, and actuals. The financial controller manages corporate functions to ensure alignment with business partners, function heads and internal expectations. This role requires the employee to build knowledge of the accounts and reporting requirements of the Siemens Energy Corporate Function operations.
The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:
- Scope, transition, and manage performance controlling and reporting activities.
- Ensures the accuracy of operational cost through month end processes and oversees that appropriate value flows are adhered to.
- Define and deliver KPIs to various management teams.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process standardizations, improvements.
- Collaborate with customers and global colleagues to incorporate best practices in the areas of performance controlling, reporting, and automation.
- Interface and support offshore providers with performance controlling and reporting.
- Analyzes financial results to determine accuracy and completeness of information.
- Prepares various financial reports, compiles and reviews financial forecasts, budgets.
- Ensures the p&l and balance sheet of the function is of high quality and meets, passes external audit requirements.
- Performs financial analysis at semi-complex levels including rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, budgeting, and financial and expense performance comparisons.
- Guide complex accounting activities in accordance with IFRS/GAAP requirements.
- Participate in accounting activities such as M&A, systems migrations, legal entity consolidations, and accounting rule changes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in financial field. CPA will be a plus.
- 10+ years’ experience in general accounting required, in large corporation preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP requirements.
- Excellent verbal, written communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Act proactively to address challenges and opportunities.
- English Speaking.
